Wow...it's already the end of July and despite the economy I've been so busy I haven't had an opportunity to make a blog entry. I'm tickled at all the new "rising star" photographers who are holding seminars during the summer on how to be successful - especially the ones who advise fellow photographers to blog, Facebook and Twitter incessantly. When does a working photographer find the time to do all that?

I have noticed a new trend that is actually kind of nice - the laid back wedding. Most of my wedding assignments in July have been for couples that have rented a beach cottage at Sandbridge or the Outer Banks and are having a wedding ceremony on the beach and during the week (Thursday evenings and Friday mornings have become very popular) with the reception at the house. Which, when you think about the cost of renting the church, hotel, sit down meals, limos, etc... is probably less expensive and you get to party for a whole week.
Have you seen the UTube video about the "bridal entrance" where everyone is dancing? What a cool and fun idea! If you haven' seen it go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlMnoPFcvAI
Well I am a working photographer so let me post a few snapshots from July and get back to work editing 2 videos, assembling 5 wedding albums and proofing out the last 3 events. And August and September will be even busier with 12 wedding events already on the booking calendar.
